The Biology Lab Clearinghouse (BLC) is a place where biology faculty and staff anywhere in the world can find free educational materials for the biology laboratory.  Materials will range from just methods to fully developed laboratory investigations for high schools, two-year colleges, and four-year colleges and universities.  Click here for a more detailed description of the clearinghouse concept (in outline form).
The goal of this pilot project is to put some initial content in place to attract other potential authors and users and to help us develop a sophisticated searchable database, interface, and administrative structure.  In both this pilot project and all future revisions each author retains copyright of his/her material and the BLC will not change documents in any significant way without the author's permission.
This project has part of its origin associated with revisions in the introductory biology courses in the Department of Biological Sciences supported by a grant from the Howard Hughs Medical Institute (HHMI).  Click here for a description of the laboratory plan.
